2026 Fantasy Outlook
Day was one of the best golfers on the planet a decade ago, and while he's nowhere near that level anymore, he's been pretty productive over the past three years. Those three seasons followed a rough patch (for someone at Day's level) where he failed to top $2 million earnings in any season. Since then however he's posted some big numbers and found a home again in the top 50. Although it feels like he's been around for a couple decades, Day is yet to turn 40 and should have plenty left in the tank. He's only three years removed from a season where he nearly earned $7 million, so that would seemingly be the ceiling right now. As such, he's in the mix for a salary cap spot this season. Second top 10 of season in Houston
Day finished in a share of sixth place at the Texas Children's Houston Open following a two-under 68 in the final round.
ANALYSIS
Day had a very strong week in Houston highlighted by his seven-under 63 in the second round. It was his second top-10 finish of the season (T2 at The American Express). This showing was a little out of nowhere after he had missed the cut at Riviera and Bay Hill then followed with a T59 at TPC Sawgrass. Day was sixth in SG: Putting and eighth in GIR percentage for the week at Memorial Park. He will not make another start before The Masters where he finished T8 a season ago.

Day might not be quite what he was, but he's still proven to be capable of racking up consistent finishes and maybe even challenging for wins a couple times a season. Day continues to be one of the top putters in the game gaining strokes on the greens in 16 straight events to close the season. He also ranked top-15 in SG: Putting and putts per GIR. The iron play is the one thing that gives pause for concern as he ranekd 148th in SG: Approach, 162nd in GIR percentage and 175th in proximity. Day has ranked outside the top-100 in all of those statistics the last three seasons. He's so consistent with the putter that it makes up for a lot of those short comings with his iron play, but if he ever goes through a bit of a funk on the greens Day will be in trouble.
