2026 Fantasy Outlook
It took Knapp a while to make it on the PGA Tour, but once there, he wasted no time leaving his mark. Knapp picked up a win in February of 2024 and eventually landed in the top 50 on the money list at the end of the season. This past season was similar to his first in that he made just over $3 million, but he failed to find another win. Knapp did find a couple top-5s however, which boosted his earnings and a T12 at the PLAYERS helped a lot as well. If Knapp is to take the next step, he needs to play better against quality fields. To this point, most of his work has been done against weaker fields and until he shows that he can compete with the best players, the jury will remain out. As such, Knapp doesn't appear to be a great salary cap option this season. Even if he gets access to more Signature Events this season, he's yet to prove he can do any damage against the best fields. Ties course record at Memorial Park
Knapp fired a bogey-free, eight-under 62 in the final round of the Texas Children's Houston Open to finish in a four-way tie for sixth.
ANALYSIS
Knapp entered Sunday looking to improve on his one-over 71 score Saturday, which could have been worse had he not ended the round with an eagle and birdie on the 17th and 18th holes, respectively. He went three-under on the front nine of the final round before finishing strong with a five-under back, including an eagle on the par-5 16th. Knapp had a chance to set the course record at Memorial Park on the 18th hole, but his 22-foot birdie putt barely grazed the right side of the cup. He led the field with four eagles made while ranking second in driving distance, ninth in SG: Approach and 11th in SG: Putting. It was a fantastic finish to the TCHO for Knapp, who was coming off an MC at THE PLAYERS Championship two weeks ago, and he's finished T11 or better in six of seven PGA Tour events this season. He's not listed in the field for next week's Valero Texas Open, so Knapp's next outing will be two weeks from now at The Masters, where he finished T55 in his lone appearance at Augusta National in 2024.

2024
After an early-season win at the Mexico Open and a T4 a week later, it appeared as though the sky was the limit for Knapp, after all, he had finished 3rd at the Farmers Insurance Open two events prior, so he was in the midst of a four event stretch where he finished no worse than T4, what could go wrong? Well, sometimes getting a win on the PGA Tour actually sets a golfer back, for a spell, sometimes for longer as complacency can set in. Maybe that's what happened or maybe it was something else. Whatever the case, Knapp did not finish the season well, posting only one more top-20 after the T4 that closed his fantastic stretch. Knapp was more of a grinder at the lower levels, often showing more consistency than upside, so perhaps the early success threw him for a loop. Whatever the case, he's a risky play at his current number in salary cap leagues this season.
