David Puig

24-Year-Old Golfer
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Puig has demonstrated steady improvement in the LIV Golf league since joining in 2022. He finished in the top 10 of the individual season standings in 2025, thanks in large part to his three fourth-place finishes (LIV Golf Adelaide, Singapore and Indianapolis), and he earned points in all 12 tournaments he participated in. Puig’s accuracy off the tee left plenty to be desired (55.21 percent driving accuracy, 39th in the field), though he finished in the top 5 in driving distance and putts per hole, and in the top 11 in the field in scrambling opportunities and birdies made. Puig’s lone major appearance in 2025 came at the PGA Championship (T60), and improved accuracy off the tee would make him a darkhorse pick in the 2026 major tournaments were he to qualify. Share of 18th at Aronimink
May 17, 2026
Puig posted an even-par 70 in the final round of the PGA Championship to finish tied for 18th.
ANALYSIS
Puig went even-par or worse in three of four rounds at Aronimink, with his three-under 67 on Friday being his best of the tournament. It was the 24-year-old Spaniard's best finish in his sixth career major start, and he finished the tournament sixth in SG: Putting and ninth in driving accuracy, though he ranked near the bottom of the field in SG: Approach. Following the PGA Championship, Puig is 58th in the OWGR, which is enough for him to qualify for the U.S. Open Championship, where he finished 55th in his last outing in 2024. He'll participate in two LIV Golf tournaments (Korea and Andalucia) before teeing off at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club on June 18.

2025 Fantasy Outlook
The 22-year-old Spaniard was the second-youngest member of the LIV Golf league in 2024, beaten only by 20-year-old Caleb Surratt of Legion XIII. The age didn’t seem to be a negative for Puig, however, as he managed to improve on his 2023 outing by finishing 26th in the LIV Golf individual season standings with 39.91 points, thanks in large part to his T3 finish in Houston. Puig received a special invitation to the PGA Championship and earned a spot at the U.S. Open Championship and The Open Championship, though he only managed to make the cut at the U.S. Open Championship (T55). Puig is not guaranteed to be in the field for any major in 2025 and will have to earn his way into those special events as he did in 2024.
