2026 Fantasy Outlook
Much like the 2024 season, Schwartzel was an inconsistent performer in the LIV Golf league, but he still managed to finish in the Lock Zone (top-24) of the individual standings thanks in large part to his solo second at LIV Golf Miami. The South African was middle of the back in driving accuracy and in his approach game, though he finished the season as the league’s best putter and one of the top scramblers. The 2011 Masters champion made the cut at Augusta National in 2025 (T36), and that will likely be the only major tournament that Schwartzel will play in 2026. Read Past Outlooks
T24 on home soil
Schwartzel posted a two-under 69 in the final round at LIV Golf South Africa to finish in a six-way tie for 24th.
ANALYSIS
Schwartzel's best round of the tournament took place Saturday with a six-under 65 score. He ranked near the bottom of the field in driving distance but finished in the top-20 in GIR and scrambling. Schwartzel sits 34th in the LIV Golf individual season standings and has just one top-20 to his name through five events (T17 in Adelaide). His next appearance will be at The Masters that kicks off April 9. Schwartzel won at Augusta National in 2011 and has made the cut in 11 of 16 appearances. He has finished T10-T50-MC-T36 in his last four outings at Augusta since 2022.

Schwartzel hasn’t been able to replicate the success he enjoyed in the first LIV Golf season in 2022, when he won the inaugural event in London. The South African wasn’t highly ranked in any major statistical category in 2024 -- in fact, he finished in the bottom half in driving distance, driving accuracy, GIR and birdies per round. However, Schwartzel managed to finish 21st in the LIV Golf individual season standings, thanks in large part to his T2 and T3 finishes in Jeddah and Adelaide, respectively, which netted him 42 of his 54.33 points. Schwartzel’s lone major appearance was at the Masters in April, an event he has earned lifetime entry thanks to his victory in 2011. He had made the cut in each of the last four years, but he was unable to do so in 2024 after carding 74-81 over the first two rounds. He’ll once again be in the field at Augusta National in 2025.
