Hill dominated the first half of the tournament, highlighted by his bogey-free, 11-under 61 second round Friday. It looked like the Scotsman was well on his way to his third DP Tour victory, but he went one-under across the final two rounds and went into a three-man playoff with Reed and Schott after bogeying the par-4 18th hole. Hill and Schott needed a second playoff hole after Reed was eliminated with a bogey, but Hill ended up conceding to Schott after the former's second shot went out of bounds. It was a disappointing finish for Hill, who led the field in total birdies made while finishing in the top-10 in GIR and SG: Putting. He has made the cut in four of five DP Tour events and is 16th in the Race to Dubai Rankings heading into next week's Qatar Masters.
