2026 Fantasy Outlook
Koepka finished in the top 5 in the LIV Golf individual standings in 2023 and 2024 and won five tournaments over that span (including the PGA Championship in 2023). However, the 2025 season was a major regression for the Smash GC captain, who failed to accrue points in nine of 14 LIV Golf tournaments (including the final six events of the year), and his 31st place finish was only possible thanks to his T7 finish in Adelaide and solo second in Singapore. Koepka’s (somewhat) bright spot to the season was a T12 finish at the U.S. Open Championship at Oakmont, but he failed to make the cut at The Masters, the PGA Championship and The Open Championship. He’ll be in all four majors in 2026, which will be a prove-it kind of year for the five-time major champion. Read Past Outlooks
Leaving LIV Golf
Koepka announced Tuesday that he will not compete in the LIV Golf League in 2026, Bob Harig of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kopeka joined the breakaway league when it started back in 2022 and had one year remaining on his LIV Golf contract. Koepka called the departure from LIV "amiable" and that he is prioritizing the needs of his family. The five-time major champion has a tough 2025 season that saw him miss the cut in three of the four major championships. Koepka really hasn't been a threat to win a major since his last victory at the 2023 PGA Championship. While this move to leave LIV Golf after four seasons and five victories seems to be mostly personal, the question now is what Koepka does professionally, both in 2026 and long term. He would likely not be able to play in a PGA Tour event next season, but Koepka would be eligible to compete in whatever DP World Tour events he could get exemptions into. That said, it doesn't make much sense to travel around the globe again if he wanted to be closer to home. Koepka could also just focus on playing the four major championships in 2026 and then see what steps he would need to take for the PGA Tour to allow him to compete again.

A five-time major champion, Koepka headed into 2024 on the heels of a strong 2023 year. He finished T2 with Phil Mickelson at The Masters, then proceeded to capture his third PGA Championship title. While he managed to make the cut in all four majors in 2024, Koepka failed to crack the top-25 in any of those events, with his T26 at the PGA Championship and U.S. Open Championship being his two best finishes. As for the LIV Golf League, the Smash GC captain added to his trophy collection with victories in Singapore and Greenbrier, and he leads all LIV Golf players with five individual trophies. Koepka will be in the field for all four majors for the 2025 season.
