2026 Fantasy Outlook
Koepka will return to the PGA Tour for the 2026 season via the new Returning Member Program. Only players who have won a major or THE PLAYERS Championship from 2022-25 are eligible. Koepka opted out of the final year of his LIV Golf contract in December after winning five times on the breakaway tour. As part of the terms of his reinstatement, Koepka will be required to play at least 15 events in 2026. He will also not be able to accept a sponsor's exemption for any of the eight Signature Events, and instead have to earn a spot with his play. Koepka will be a difficult player to project for fantasy, as if he can't earn his way into any of the signature events his upside is severely limited. That said, he is eligible for all four majors in 2026. Koepka sits outside the Top 150 in the DataGolf rankings, so he will need to step up his play. Read Past Outlooks
Doesn't make weekend in Scotland
July 10, 2026
Koepka registered a 66-74 scorecard through the first two rounds of the Genesis Scottish Open to miss the cut by two strokes.
ANALYSIS
Koepka opened the tournament with back-to-back bogeys through the first two holes but rebounded to go six-under the rest of the way, including five birdies over the last 10. He was one of the early contenders heading into Friday and was one stroke above the two-under cut line through 13 holes, but he proceeded to double bogey the par-4 14th and was unable to gain the stroke he needed over his last four holes. Koepka ranked 143rd out of the 156-man field in SG: Putting in the second round -- losing 2.46 strokes in that category -- while connecting on only four of 13 fairways (T147). Koepka has missed the cut in each of his last two outings, and his recent performances could be partially due to a hand injury that forced him to withdraw before the final round of the RBC Canadian Open in mid-June. That will be something to monitor as Koepka prepares for The Open Championship next week, his 12th appearance in that major. He missed the cut at Royal Portrush last year but finished T6 in 2017 at Royal Birkdale, the venue for this year's Open Championship.

A five-time major champion, Koepka headed into 2024 on the heels of a strong 2023 year. He finished T2 with Phil Mickelson at The Masters, then proceeded to capture his third PGA Championship title. While he managed to make the cut in all four majors in 2024, Koepka failed to crack the top-25 in any of those events, with his T26 at the PGA Championship and U.S. Open Championship being his two best finishes. As for the LIV Golf League, the Smash GC captain added to his trophy collection with victories in Singapore and Greenbrier, and he leads all LIV Golf players with five individual trophies. Koepka will be in the field for all four majors for the 2025 season.
Koepka will be a threat to win any of the four majors, and will be especially keen on capturing his first Masters after he felt he let last year's tournament get away in a tie for second. He then won the PGA
Koepka will qualify for the Masters as a top-50 OWGR golfer at year's end and for the PGA and U.S. Open as a recent champion
Koepka's place in the FedExCup Standings is a little deceiving as it was the result of a withdrawal during the TOUR Championship, but by his standards, it was still not great. Disappointing because he failed to win a major and that's what he does best. He came close a couple times, but failed in the end to capture his 5th major. With that said, there were no signs of Koepka slowing down this season and he'll again be in the mix at the majors this season.
Questions surrounded Koepka entering the 2019-2020 season as he was still recovering from an injury that halted his previous season and things did not go well early on. The break due to COVID-19 actually came at a good time for Koepka as he was able to fully heal and for a while, he looked like his old self. However, he simply wasn't able to find his top form for any prolonged stretch and the season as a whole was a bust. Koepka is surely to regain his form at some point however and his deflated salary looks like an opportunity for the upcoming season.
Entering the 2018-19 season, it was still debatable as to who was the best golfer in the world. Entering this season, the debate is over. Koepka grabbed another major victory last season and was a threat at the other three. Koepka is clearly the No. 1 pick in drafts and should be the highest-valued player in auctions. His ceiling is entirely up to him as when he's focused he almost always wins and he always contends. That's the good news. The bad news is his number is just too high for salary cap purposes this season.
Koepka established himself as perhaps the best major golfer in the world last season. All of this after he started the season on the DL with a wrist injury as well. That injury limited Koepka to just 17 events last season, but he still managed to win twice and post a career-high in earnings. Koepka has won three of the past six majors, five of which he has played and it's clear that when he's focused, he's one of the best, if not the best, golfer in the world. There in lies the issue though as Koepka all but admitted after his PGA Championship victory that he gets up for majors and struggles to do the same during regular PGA Tour events. It's hard to imagine that Koepka won't figure that part out soon and if he does, then the sky is the limit. Koepka comes with a huge price tag this season, but he does have the potential to reach $10 million if everything goes right.
Koepka entered the season as a young golfer with loads of potential, and he exited the season a major champion. There are lots of guys with potential on the PGA Tour, but so many fail to live up to it, and even fewer ever grab a major. Koepka's season would have been a success even without a win at the U.S. Open, but obviously that win put his season into the exceptional category. With the exception of a stretch during the beginning of 2017, Koepka was solid all season. He recorded a pair of runner-ups and seven total top-10s. Though Koepka reached a new level this past season, there is still room for improvement. As such, he should be considered for salary cap leagues.
In his two full years on the PGA Tour, Koepka has over $6.5 million in earnings, 24 top-25s and 15 top-10s -- that's a top-10 for every three starts. The only knock is his lack of wins on the PGA Tour; Koepka has just one of those. That however makes his earnings numbers from the past two seasons even more impressive. Koepka is only going to get better and once he figures out how to close more efficiently, his numbers should go through the roof. Expect a nice increase in his numbers this season, just enough to garner a salary cap selection. In draft he could go as early as the 2nd-round.
