Fitzpatrick posted a nine-under cumulative score at the Hero Indian Open on the DP World Tour to win the tournament by two strokes over Eugenio Chacarra.

Chacarra was the man to beat heading into the final round after building himself a commanding four-stroke lead, but the young Spaniard left the door open after posting a three-over 75 on Sunday. Fitzpatrick, on the other hand, surged during the final round with a three-under 69 that included five birdies from holes 11 to 17, and the lead he built was enough for him to come away with the victory despite a double bogey on the 18th. It was the first DP World Tour victory of his career, and he and his brother, Matt Fitzpatrick, made history as the first siblings to win in successive weeks on the DP World Tour and the PGA Tour.
