2026 Fantasy Outlook
Rai not only picked up his first PGA Tour win during the 2024 season, but he ended that season in the top 30. That season was the end of a three-year run that saw improvement each season. His 2025 season saw some regression, but he closed it out with a win overseas at the Abu Dhabi Championship. It makes for a great set up in salary cap pools as Rai's number are well off of his 2024 numbers, but the level of play in total is similar, he just doesn't have to absorb the winnings from Abu Dhabi in his PGA total. Though his production on the PGA Tour fell off a little this past season, Rai seems like he's still ascending. That, combined with the discounted number from this past year make Rai a solid salary cap play for this season. Read Past Outlooks
WD's with neck injury
March 26, 2026
Rai (neck) has withdrawn prior to his first round tee time at the Texas Children's Houston Open, PGA Tour Communications reports.
ANALYSIS
Rai's WD due to a neck injury means that Taylor Moore will take his spot in the field. Hopefully this is not a long term issue for the Englishman. Rai had missed the cut in his last two events. It's unclear if he will play in San Antonio next week before teeing it up at The Masters.

2022
Rai had a career year in 2024 going 21-for-25 with six top-10s and 13 top-25s. He also collected his first career PGA Tour victory at the Wyndham Championship. It was part of a red hot stretch that included four top-seven finishes in five starts. Rai ranked sixth last season in SG: Total led by his terrific iron play. The Englishman was seventh in SG: Approach and ninth in GIR percentage. He also led the PGA Tour in driving accuracy. Given his ball-striking numbers, if Rai is able to have a good week on the greens he is going to find himself in the mix. It's probably unlikely he reaches his earnings total from 2024, but Rai's floor remains pretty respectable.
Rai is coming off a respectable second season on Tour in which he once again qualified for the playoffs. He primarily turned his attention to the DP World Tour this past fall, posting three top-10s across five events, most notably at T-2 result at the marquee BMW PGA Championship. The 28-year-old is an accurate driver and solid iron player (35th in strokes-gained approach) that is capable of having an even better third season if he can improve his putting. Rai's other downside is that he's not very long (151st in driving distance), but it wouldn't be a surprise to see him in contention often on shorter setups.
Rai captured his PGA Tour card through the Korn Ferry Tour finals in 2021 after playing overseas to start his career, and he responded with a solid rookie campaign in which he ranked 46th in strokes-gained tee-to-green. While he was overshadowed by a stellar rookie class, Rai is capable of having an improved sophomore season if he can improve his putting.
Although he'll be considered a rookie on the PGA Tour, Rai already owns two career wins on the European Tour since 2018. The 26-year-old Englishman also posted a top-20 result at the 2021 Open Championship in addition to respectable performances at the WGC-Workday Championship and the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational. He earned his PGA Tour card via the Korn Ferry Tour Finals, highlighted by a T2 at the Albertsons Boise Open. On the Euro Tour in 2021, Rai ranks 26th or better in GIR percentage and driving accuracy.
