Gonzalez stepped in for an injured Austin Seibert and performed well down the stretch for Washington last season, making 12 of 15 field-goal attempts and all 27 PATs across three regular-season games and three playoff contests. All three misses came in easy wins for Washington, softening the blow, but the team nonetheless released Gonzalez after signing fellow kicker Matt Gay in April. Gonzalez went 2-for-3 on field-goal attempts and made all three of his PATs in Monday night's 27-24 win over the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Gonzalez was able to make multiple field goals for the second straight week and third time in four contests, converting attempts from 56 and 51 yards in the second half. The kicker's lone miss on the day came in the third quarter when his 37-yard try was blocked by Jared Verse, who then picked it up and returned it for a touchdown. Gonzalez has now gone 15-for-18 on field-goal tries, including 8-for-10 from 50-plus yards, while making 16 of 17 extra-point attempts over eight contests with Atlanta this season.

The 49ers traded with the Panthers for Gonzalez this offseason after Robbie Gould declined to re-sign with the team. The former appeared set to take over as the team's kicker, but San Francisco then used a third-round pick on Jake Moody during this year's draft. It would be foolish for the front office to burn such a high pick on a player they don't plan on keeping past training camp, so Gonzalez may find himself on yet another team by Week 1.
