2025 Fantasy Outlook
Sieler spent the first several seasons of his career as a strong run defender but struggled to make a significant impact as a pass rusher. However, the Dolphins have shifted his primary role to playing the B-gap (between the guard and tackle) in the last two seasons. The result has been more well-rounded production, as he's combined to post 20 sacks (10 each year) across the last two campaigns. That has been backed by 41 quarterback hits, suggesting that his new level of production is hardly a fluke. Entering his age-29 season, there's no reason to believe Sieler's production or role will change in 2025, making him among the best interior pass rushers in the league and a valuable IDP option. Explodes for 2.5 sacks Sunday
Sieler registered four tackles (three solo), including 2.5 sacks, in Sunday's 34-10 Week 14 win over the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Coming into Sunday, Sieler had just 1.0 sacks through 12 games. He didn't record any defensive stats in the first half against New York but then detonated for 2.5 sacks across the final two quarters. Sieler probably isn't going to reach double-digit sacks for a third straight season -- he's at just 3.5 through 13 games -- but for one game at least, he was a forceful part of the Dolphins' pass rush.

2020
Sieler was among a number of Dolphins' defensive players to benefit from the presence of coordinator Vic Fangio. Sieler has had a significant role along the team's defensive line for the last four seasons, but his alignment and role in 2023 shifted from primarily occupying offensive linemen to create a gap for his teammates to being the player to shoot the gaps himself. The results were apparent, as he doubled his career sack total in 2023, and he backed his 10 sacks with 22 quarterback hits. With Fangio now departed for Philadelphia, the question is how Sieler will be deployed in 2024. If his usage carries over, he'll be a valuable IDP asset. If he returns to his previous role, he'll be safe to ignore from a fantasy perspective.

Won't hold out for extension
Sieler doesn't intend to hold out from training camp as he seeks a contract extension from the Dolphins, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
The 29-year-old edge rusher has recorded back-to-back seasons with 10.0 sacks for Miami, and while agent Drew Rosenhaus confirmed that Sieler would attend camp, he declined to say if his agent would fully participate in practice and workouts without an extension. Sieler has two years remaining on his current deal with a total base salary of just $14.88 million across both seasons, well below his market value.
