MRI comes back clean
Johnson's (knee) MRI came back negative Monday, and he's healthy headed into the offseason, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.
ANALYSIS
Johnson had to leave Sunday's regular-season finale against the Rams with a knee injury, but he's avoided anything notable injury-wise and should have a normal offseason. The second-round rookie appeared in 12 regular-season games for Arizona, making 10 starts, and wrapped up his 2025 campaign with 37 tackles (27 solo), 10 pass breakups and one forced fumble. He should return as a starting cornerback in 2026.

Medical concerns caused the two-time All-American to drop to the second round of the 2025 Draft, but the Cardinals scooped him up 47th overall, which was fortuitous considering starting outside CB Sean Murphy-Bunting later was revealed to be out for the season due to a knee injury and then Starling Thomas, another starting corner, suffered a torn ACL in training camp. Johnson picked off nine passes and returned three of them for TDs in 32 games at Michigan, and assuming he holds up, health-wise, he should be in the mix right away for the snaps vacated by Murphy-Bunting and Thomas along with Max Melton.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Projected for breakout
Johnson is primed for a second-year breakout, Matt Miller of ESPN suggests.
ANALYSIS
Johnson slipped to the second round of the 2025 draft due to long-term concerns about the health of his knee, and he exited Arizona's Week 18 contest with a knee issue. However, he's expected to be healthy to begin 2026 and will serve as the Cardinals' top corner. Though he didn't pick off a pass as a rookie, Johnson was credited with 10 pass breakups and a forced fumble across 12 games, so a second-year leap looks to be realistic.
