Hickman, an undrafted free agent in 2023, saw an increase in snaps during his second NFL season and led Cleveland's secondary with a 71.3 coverage grade as a second-teamer behind Grant Delpit and Juan Thornhill. After the Browns let Thornhill go and Rodney McLeod retired, Hickman is in line to start at free safety alongside Delpit. He recorded 45 tackles, one pass defensed and a fumble recovery over 14 games in 2024. The Browns also brought in some experience in Damontae Kazee, who could challenge Hickman.
