Re-ups with Jags on three-year deal

March 9, 2026
Jacksonville re-signed Brown to a three-year, $33 million contract Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Brown, a 2022 seventh-round pick, emerged as a capable starter at slot corner for the Jaguars in 2024 and now re-signs with the team for the foreseeable future. While Brown's unreliable tackle totals and lack of demonstrable big-play ability keep him off the IDP radar in most fantasy formats, he's entrenched as a key part of Jacksonville's secondary for the 2026 season and beyond.

2025 Fantasy Outlook
Brown ended up starting in 10 of 17 games for the Jaguars and led the team's cornerbacks with 803 defensive snaps last year. He recorded 75 tackles (55 solo) and eight passes defensed, including his first NFL interception. Brown could fill a bit more of a depth role in 2025, however, since Jacksonville added Travis Hunter, Jourdan Lewis and Eric Murray to its secondary during the offseason.

Standout performer this spring
CBJacksonville Jaguars
July 1, 2025
Brown is challenging to be the second outside cornerback for the Jaguars in 2025, Michael DiRocco of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Tyson Campbell is locked in as one of the starting corners, and Travis Hunter and Jarrian Jones were expected to compete for the other starting boundary spot. Jones has reportedly struggled to adjust to defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile's zone-heavy scheme however, opening the door for Brown to get first-team reps in spring practices. Brown broke up a pair of passes in the end zone in minicamp and is catching the attention of the Jaguars' coaching staff.
