Reverts to injured reserve
Woods (leg) reverted to injured reserve Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
Woods has been dealing with a right leg injury during the offseason program and was cut with an injury designation Tuesday. After going unclaimed on waivers, Woods will now head to Denver's injured reserve. It's very possible, and even likely, that he'll eventually be cut with an injury settlement, which would allow him to find another team and suit up at some point during the upcoming campaign.

Woods spent most of 2024 on the Browns' practice squad before making a handful of appearances in December. He missed the regular season finale with a knee injury, which hampered his availability for OTAs. The Browns have several wide receivers on the offseason roster but none beyond Jerry Jeudy, a healthy Cedric Tillman or a properly focused Diontae Johnson can stake a claim to a roster spot. Woods' history with the organization gives him an advantage over the many new arrivals. Where he was once angling to be the fifth or sixth WR, Woods could land as high as third in 2025.
