2025 Fantasy Outlook
There's not much to say that isn't known about Crosby, as he's established himself as one of the most determined pass rushers in the league across the last three seasons. His 2024 campaign was cut short by an ankle injury that required tightrope surgery, but there aren't any concerns about his availability for the new season. Crosby's per-snap production won't rival that of Myles Garrett or other truly elite pass rushers, but unlike Garrett, Crosby is routinely on the field for rushing downs. In turn, he holds a significant advantage in total tackles and is the top-ranked defensive lineman heading into the 2025 campaign. Read Past Outlooks
Expected back by GM
GM John Spytek said Tuesday that he expects Crosby (knee) to play for the Raiders in 2026, Ryan McFadden of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The star edge rusher has been the subject of trade speculation of late while he rehabs from a knee procedure, but at this stage Spytek believes that Crosby will remain with the Raiders. That aligns with new head coach Klint Kubiak's desire for him to remain a franchise pillar. On that subject, Spytek said Tuesday, "Maxx is an elite player, and I've been very upfront from the start when I got here that we're in the business of having really good players on the team, and we need a lot more of them." That said, Spytek fell short of saying that the 28-year-old is untradeable, acknowledging that in general the team is always open listening to trade offers. "I learned a long time ago, always listen," Spytek noted. "I'm always listening."

Measurables Review
How do Maxx Crosby's measurables compare to other defensive ends?
This section compares his draft workout metrics with players at the same position. The bar represents the player's percentile rank. For example, if the bar is halfway across, then the player falls into the 50th percentile for that metric and it would be considered average.

Crosby fought through a knee injury for much of the 2023 season, though it would be impossible to discern that by looking at his production. He led all defensive lineman with 1,081 snaps, or 63.6 per game. To put that in perspective, the next closest player at the position was Danielle Hunter, and he averaged 59.2 snaps per contest. Crosby has also played in every game as a pro, surely playing through several different issues at points throughout his career. Volume plays a key role in his fantasy value, as he doesn't have the same disruptive ability on a per snap basis as other elite players at the position. That makes him a slightly more fragile selection than his overall ranking may suggest, but it's impossible to deny his productivity and durability after five years in the NFL.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could bring back two firsts
Crosby is expected to have 10 or more teams looking to acquire him if he's made available in a trade, and that high level of demand could allow the Raiders to get back two first-round picks for him, Vincent Bonsignore of the California Post reports.
ANALYSIS
The 28-year-old edge rusher needed minor knee surgery at the end of last season, limiting him to 15 games, but he still recorded 10.0 sacks, the fourth time in his seven-year NFL career that he's reached double digits. Crosby is expected to meet with Raiders GM John Spytek and new head coach Klint Kubiak this week at the NFL Combine to discuss his future with the franchise, and if the two sides decide to part ways, the resulting haul of picks could super-charge Las Vegas' rebuild efforts.
