Sneed (quadriceps) is slated to sign with the Chiefs, per NFL reporter Jordan Schultz.
ANALYSIS
Sneed was dealt from the Chiefs to the Titans in March 2024, but after two seasons in Tennessee, he'll now return to Kansas City. The 29-year-old struggled with injuries during his time with the Titans, appearing in just 12 of a possible 34 regular-season games. Most recently, Sneed missed Tennessee's final 10 contests in 2025 due to a quadriceps injury. However, his intention to sign with the Chiefs suggests he's moved past that issue. With Jaylen Watson and Trent McDuffie both joining the Rams this offseason, Sneed will likely step in and operate as one of Kansas City's top boundary corners during the 2026 season.

Sneed had rightfully earned the reputation as one of the top corners in the league during his four-year tenure with the Chiefs. Expectations were high when the Titans acquired him for a second-round pick and subsequently gave him a four-year, $76 million contract. Things didn't go according to plan, however, as he appeared in only five games before being sidelined with a quadriceps injury for the rest of the campaign. The Titans will still be hopeful he can step up to fill his projected role as a shutdown corner, but Sneed remained slowed by the same quad issue during mandatory minicamp.
The Titans' big splash on the defensive side of the ball this offseason was the addition of Sneed after he and the Chiefs couldn't agree on a long-term deal. Across his first four seasons in the league, Sneed has established himself as one of the best corners in the league by picking off multiple passes in each campaign. He's also broken up 25 passes combined across the last two years. Tennessee struggled to get consistent production out of its secondary across the last few seasons, but Sneed will anchor a new-look unit for the foreseeable future.
Sneed has emerged as one of the best Chiefs' draft picks from the 2020 class, posting a career-best 108 tackles (75 solo) along with 3.5 sacks, a trio of picks, and three forced fumbles in 2022. He enters the final year of his rookie deal set for a healthy payday next offseason. For now, he's entrenched atop the cornerback depth chart in Kansas City and should continue to be among the better IDP options among defensive backs once again in 2023.
The Chiefs turned over a lot of the secondary heading into 2022 following a lackluster showing last year, but Sneed remains in his duties as a returning starter at cornerback. He posted a decent effort in coverage last year and proved again to be a willing tackler, racking up 76 total (57 solo) over 15 games. He figures to have a talented newcomer opposite him this year following the team's first-round selection of Trent McDuffie.
Sneed impressed as a rookie in 2020, allowing just a 53.4 passer rating against, per PFF, while recording two sacks, three interceptions and 41 tackles (31 solo) over just nine games. That far outweighed his expected production as a fourth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, but he now enters 2021 locked into a starting role at cornerback.

Back in fold with Chiefs
CBKansas City Chiefs
June 10, 2026
Sneed, who played with the Chiefs for four seasons after they selected him in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, signed a one-year deal with Kansas City on Monday, Turron Davenport and Adam Schefter of ESPN report.
ANALYSIS
The deal is worth up to $5 million, per Schefter. Sneed was traded by the Chiefs to the Titans during the 2024 offseason, but he was released by Tennessee on March 13 after a pair of injury-plagued seasons. Sneed returns to a crowded cornerback room that recently added Mansoor Delane, a rookie sixth overall pick out of LSU.
