2024 Fantasy Outlook
A 2020 second-round pick by Jacksonville, Shenault showed promise as a rookie with 58 catches for 500 yards and a touchdown while adding another 91 yards on the ground. However, his efficiency plummeted in Year 2 when he turned 100 targets into just 619 yards (6.2 YPT) and no touchdowns. He was subsequently traded to Carolina, where he failed to get his footing through 21 games. While there isn't a clear path to usage in Seattle behind DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Shenault could be utilized on gadget plays that Dee Eskridge has been unable to capitalize on to this point. Returns to practice Thursday
Shenault (back) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Shenault didn't practice Wednesday due to a back injury he presumably sustained during the Seahawks' Week 6 loss to the 49ers. He was able to practice without restrictions Thursday, however, and he should be good to go for Sunday's contest against Atlanta, barring any setbacks. Shenault has primarily served as Seattle's lead kick returner, and he returned a kickoff 97 yards for his first touchdown of the season against San Francisco.

The Jaguars traded Shenault to the Panthers late last August, and despite occasionally flashing his playmaking ability, he finished the campaign with only 27 catches (on 32 targets) for 272 yards and a touchdown in 13 games. While he also rushed nine times for 65 yards and another score, he could find his opportunities similarly limited in 2023. Carolina dealt No. 1 wideout DJ Moore to Chicago this offseason, but the team replaced him with veterans Adam Thielen and DJ Chark and rookie second-rounder Jonathan Mingo. As a result, Shenault may have to settle for spare involvement as a depth utility option.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could get a shot on special teams
Shenault could be used as the punt returner in Week 2 against the Giants if Shi Smith is unable to play, according to Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site.
ANALYSIS
Shenault sat out Carolina's season opener as he was still learning the playbook after being acquired in a trade from Jacksonville. His special-teams prowess could help Shenault see the field in Week 2, and he would likely get some use on offense as well if he dresses since Smith played regularly in three-receiver sets in Week 1. Smith is questionable due to a groin injury.
