After being cut from the Patriots' practice squad last Tuesday Nov. 25, Ward was quickly picked up by the Ravens. The veteran worked out with the team Monday and was promptly signed, likely to bolster depth in the running back room due to the untimely IR stint of Justice Hill (neck).

New England hasn't gotten the production they were hoping for this season from the duo of Rhamondre Stevenson and rookie TreVeyon Henderson, but Ward is highly unlikely to provide a solution, even if he does wind up signing with the club and joining the practice squad. The 28-year-old suited up for four games with the Steelers in 2024, but he's primarily been a special-teams option during his career and has never seen more than nine carries in a season.
