March 13, 2026
Jenkins continues to progress in his rehab from a fractured lower leg and ligament damage that he suffered in November while playing for the Packers, Kelsey Russo of the Browns' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Jenkins spent the first seven years of his NFL career in Green Bay, where he was named to the NFC Pro Bowl roster in 2020 and 2022. He started in each of the Packers' first nine games of the 2025 regular season before fracturing his leg against the Eagles in Week 10. Jenkins relayed Friday that he is on pace with his recovery and hopes to be fully healthy for the start of the 2026 season.

Jenkins has filled numerous spots on the offensive line in his six years with the Packers, and the two-time Pro Bowler now is poised to slide over from left guard and fill the starting center spot in Green Bay.
Jenkins missed a pair of games last season, but he otherwise stayed healthy one year after tearing his ACL. The Packers signed him to a lucrative extension in December, and he is slated to open the season as the team's starting left guard.
Jenkins made the Pro Bowl in his 2020 sophomore season, and he was on his way to being named to the team again before tearing his ACL in late November. Jenkins is reportedly ahead of schedule in his recovery, but given the timing of his injury, it does not seem likely he will be ready for Week 1.
Jenkins has moved around the offensive line a lot, but he has shined wherever he lines up and is set to be a perennial Pro Bowler for years to come. It's not yet clear where he will open in 2021, but if David Bakhtiari (knee) is not ready for Week 1, it looks like Jenkins will fill in at left tackle.

Jenkins is sitting out voluntary offseason workouts while seeking an adjustment to his contract, Jason Wilde of Channel 3000 reports.
ANALYSIS
Jenkins is shifting from guard to center this season, a move that he is reportedly okay with. However, he may be using the shift to rework his current deal, which runs through the 2026 season. It's unclear whether Jenkins is simply asking for a raise, or if he wants an extension from the Packers.
