2025 Fantasy Outlook
Oliver played 14 regular-season games in 2024 but finished the year with just 29 tackles (14.0 solo), including 3.0 sacks, plus three forced fumbles - a notable step down after he tallied 51 tackles, including 9.5 sacks, in 16 regular-season contests back in 2023. DaQuan Jones also regressed in 2024, leaving Buffalo's interior pass rush lacking. Oliver remains locked into a key starting role for Buffalo heading into his age-28 season, with two years remaining on his contract, but expectations for his production should be tempered. Won't return for wild-card round
Head coach Sean McDermott told reporters Monday that there are no plans for Oliver (biceps/knee) to be designated to return from injured reserve this week, Jay Skurski of The Buffalo News reports.
ANALYSIS
Oliver landed on injured reserve in late October due to a torn biceps that he sustained against the Panthers in Week 8. There was some optimism that the seventh-year defensive tackle could return for the playoffs. However, that was before Oliver underwent surgery in late December to repair the meniscus in his knee, and he appears to be a long shot to return for the Bills' postseason run, even if the team were to make it to the Super Bowl in February. The Bills will continue to rely on Deone Walker, Greg Rousseau, DaQuan Jones (calf) and Joey Bosa (hamstring) to man the defensive front heading into Sunday's AFC wild-card game against the Jaguars.

Oliver's fifth year in the league was easily his best, as the 2019 first-rounder set career highs for tackles (51), sacks (9.5), and tackles for loss (14). Looking ahead, the 26-year-old Oliver and fellow interior lineman DaQuan Jones will continue to lead one of the stronger units on the Bills, and if your league forces you to have a spot for both defensive ends and tackles, Oliver is one of the league's better IDP choices for the latter slot.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could return for playoffs
Oliver suffered a torn bicep in Sunday's win over the Panthers that will sideline him for the rest of the regular season, but Bills coach Sean McDermott is hoping the defensive tackle will be back for the playoffs, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
It's a tough blow to the Buffalo run defense either way, as the unit has allowed 5.5 yards per carry this season, second worst in the league, with Oliver only healthy enough to suit up for three games. If he doesn't return early, he finishes his 2025 campaign with 12 tackles, including 3.0 sacks, and a forced fumble. It wouldn't be a surprise to see the Bills pursue defensive line reinforcements at the trade deadline in the wake of this news.
