2024 Fantasy Outlook
Chark tied a career high with 15 appearances last season, after missing 22 games from 2020 to 2022. Not much else went right for him, with 35.0 yards per game being his worst average since his 2018 rookie season. Chark was only partly to blame, of course, as the Panthers offense was a complete disaster and coach Frank Reich insisted on putting overmatched rookie wideout Jonathan Mingo in a near-every-down role. Chark should be in a better situation this year, joining his fourth team in as many seasons, though his 2019 breakout in Jacksonville (73-1,008-8) is a distant memory that's vastly outweighed by the slew of ensuing mediocre seasons. While not assured of a starting role, Chark does at least have a decent chance at one after the Chargers got rid of WRs Mike Williams and Keenan Allen this offseason. The 27-year-old figures to compete for playing time with Joshua Palmer, 2023 first-round pick Quentin Johnston and 2024 second-rounder Ladd McConkey, in an offense directed by former Ravens coordinator Greg Roman. RANKS
Healthy scratch for Week 11
Chark (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
Chark didn't suit up until Week 10 due to hip and groin injuries, but after playing only one snap in his Chargers debut, he will return to watching from the sidelines. It may take an injury to one of Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston, Joshua Palmer, Jalen Reagor or Derius Davis for Chark to enter the gameday lineup moving forward.

How does the Ravens pass defense compare to other NFL teams this season?
The bars represents the team's percentile rank (based on QB Rating Against). The longer the bar, the better their pass defense is. The team and position group ratings only include players that are currently on the roster and not on injured reserve. The list of players in the table only includes defenders with at least 3 attempts against them.

2018
Chark has missed 22 of 50 games since breaking out in his second season (2019) for 1,008 receiving yards and eight TDs. He was stuck in terrible Jacksonville offenses until last year, and while the move to Detroit somewhat rejuvenated his career, Chark missed six games in October/November and didn't return to the starting lineup until Week 12. But he came on strong down the stretch as a big-play threat, averaging 3.3 catches for 57.7 yards on 4.7 targets in the final seven games (two TDs). It was enough to land a one-year contract with significant guarantees for a second consecutive offseason, though the 2018 second-rounder settled for $5 million from Carolina after getting twice that from Detroit a year earlier. Chark joins Adam Thielen, Terrace Marshall and second-round pick Jonathan Mingo at wide receiver in a new-look Panthers offense led by coach Frank Reich and rookie QB Bryce Young. Thielen is a possession receiver and Chark is the best of the potential field-stretchers, which should bode well for his target volume, assuming Young develops. Chark underwent offseason ankle surgery but is expected to be ready for training camp.

Chark is at risk of missing the Chargers' Week 1 matchup against the Raiders due to a hip injury, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Chark, the only current Chargers receiver who has a 1,000-yard season on his NFL resume, missed practices Monday and Wednesday due to the issue. The speedster's career has been stuck in neutral for the last three seasons partly due to injuries, but when healthy, he's expected to add a veteran downfield dimension to the Chargers' revamped air attack this season.
