Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
A special-teams stalwart, Ogunbowale saw more work than usual on offense in the first half of the season as both Joe Mixon and Dameon Pierce dealt with injuries. Ogunbowale wound up with a career-high 310 scrimmage yards, but his 3.7 yards per carry doesn't suggest he's deserving of a bigger role. His roster spot should be secure due to his versatility, but Houston did use a fourth-round pick on Woody Marks in the 2025 Draft, creating additional competition for depth jobs in the backfield. Gets eight touches in rout
Ogunbowale carried the ball five times for two yards and caught three of four targets for 32 yards in Sunday's 40-20 win over the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
The veteran RB was expected to be used mostly on special teams as usual, but Woody Marks picked up an ankle injury in the first quarter and didn't see the field in the second half with the game well in hand. Jawhar Jordan, in his first career NFL action, wound up seeing the bulk of the backfield work in the second half, but Ogunbowale also nearly doubled his season touch total as he got significant work on offense as well. Either or both of Marks and Nick Chubb (ribs) could be back in Week 16 against the Raiders, but even if both remain sidelined, Ogunbowale would likely work behind Jordan once again.

Ogunbowale has established himself as a special-teams ace in the NFL, but he's been unable to translate that secure roster spot into consistent opportunities for touches and has played more snaps on special teams than on offense in each of the last four seasons. He does offer some potential as a passing-down option, but his career 3.4 yards per carry highlights his limitations as a runner, and his efficiency has declined further any time he's gotten a sizable role. With Joe Mixon now heading the Texans' backfield, Ogunbowale has an even narrower path to fantasy utility.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could have bigger role in Week 15
Ogunbowale could be in line for a larger role in Week 15 against the Cardinals, as Woody Marks and Nick Chubb were both sidelined at Wednesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Chubb exited Houston's Week 14 win over Kansas City due to a rib injury, and Marks was absent from practice Wednesday due to a knee injury. Ogunbowale scored a five-yard touchdown on his only carry after Chubb's exit. Even if only one of Marks or Chubb plays, that would likely lead to Ogunbowale seeing more opportunities against a Cardinals defense that has allowed 18 total touchdowns to running backs.
