2026 Projections
Following Daboll to Tennessee
Bellinger is signing with the Titans, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports Monday.
ANALYSIS
Bellinger will be reunited with Brian Daboll, who is set to work as the offensive coordinator for the Titans after serving as the Giants' head coach from 2022 until his firing in 2025. Daboll's tenure in New York overlapped with Bellinger's four years with the Giants, during which the 2022 fourth-round pick accrued 88 catches for 934 yards and four touchdowns in 62 regular-season appearances. In Tennessee, Bellinger figures to contribute primarily as a blocker behind 2025 fourth-round pick Gunnar Helm (toe), while the status of free agent Chig Okonkwo is still up in the air.

Bellinger had a golden opportunity to carve out a prominent role as a pass catcher in 2024 after Darren Waller retired, but 2024 fourth-round pick Theo Johnson quickly surpassed Bellinger as the Giants’ top receiving tight end. Johnson underwent Lisfranc surgery in December but projects to lead Big Blue’s TE room once he recovers, leaving Bellinger to focus primarily on blocking. Bellinger’s receiving yardage has declined in each of his three NFL seasons, from 268 as a rookie in 2022 to 255 in 2023 and 125 in 2024. He hasn’t scored a TD or missed a game over the past two seasons after finding the end zone twice in 12 games as a rookie.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Competing for starting job
Bellinger is set to compete with rookie Theo Johnson for the top spot on the tight end depth chart, as Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports Darren Waller has informed the Giants that he is planning to retire.
ANALYSIS
Bellinger backed up Waller in 2023 when the veteran starter wasn't sidelined by a hamstring injury. With Waller hanging up his cleats, Bellinger and Johnson are the top remaining options at tight end for the Giants, so both likely will receive significant playing time in 2024. Bellinger and Johnson are both fourth-round draft picks, with Bellinger being picked in 2022 and Johnson in 2024.
