Past Fantasy Outlooks

2020
Henderson finished last season with career highs in tackles (58) and passes defended (six) while playing all 17 games for the Panthers. Nonetheless, Carolina declined his fifth-year option this offseason, putting Henderson on track to become a free agent next spring. In the meantime, he profiles as one of the team's main options behind Jaycee Horn and Donte Jackson at cornerback.
A first-round pick in 2020, Henderson was traded to the Panthers early last season. The Florida product finished with 31 tackles in 10 games for Carolina and figures to compete for a depth cornerback role in 2022.
Not too long ago Henderson would have been playing a complementary role in Jacksonville's secondary, but he's poised to start in his rookie campaign given the recent roster turnover. Jalen Ramsey was disgruntled and shipped out midseason last year, and A.J. Bouye was also traded away this offseason. 2018 UDFA Tre Herndon started 14 games in 2019 and figures to remain in that role for 2020, with Henderson expected to start on the opposite side. The ninth overall pick out of Florida had six interceptions, 20 passes defensed, four sacks and two forced fumbles over his three collegiate seasons.

ANALYSIS
Henderson spend the last two full seasons of what has been an underachieving career thus far with the Panthers, recording 97 tackles, including one sack, two interceptions and six additional passes defensed over 29 games during that span. Henderson projects to serve as experienced cornerback depth for Houston, which is already set at the position with Derek Stingley and offseason addition Jeff Okudah.
