Takes step forward in 2024
Conner finished the 2024 season with 77 tackles (58 solo), including 1.0 sacks, four pass breakups, including two interceptions, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one defensive touchdown across 15 regular-season games.
ANALYSIS
After starting seven games as a rookie, Conner made nine starts in his second pro season, operating as the Chiefs' top slot cornerback. He recovered a fumble Week 2 against the Bengals and returned it 38 yards for his defensive touchdown. During the postseason, Conner made 20 tackles (11 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and forced one fumble across three contests. He should get the first crack at covering the slot once again in 2025.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Conner played in all 17 regular-season games for the Chiefs as a rookie in 2023, though he logged more snaps on special teams (329) than on defense (292). His playing time on defense increased late in the campaign and into the postseason, however, and Conner's best game came in Kansas City's AFC Divisional Round playoff win against Buffalo, when he played every defensive snap and logged a season-high 10 tackles in addition to forcing a fumble. Conner should be a prominent part of the Chiefs' secondary from Week 1 of the coming campaign, as he's the early favorite for the starting job at nickel corner.

Intriguing option in KC
Conner is expected to play every secondary position for the Chiefs in 2024, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Conner played a versatile role during his five years at Virginia Tech, picking off a total of four passes while also tallying 7.5 sacks. He played a significant role on special teams as a rookie for the Chiefs in 2023, but he could find more time in the secondary in 2024. The safety positions in particular look to be a weakness, so that could ultimately be where Conner settles in, giving him the chance to both rack up tackles and potentially interceptions.
