Becomes highest-paid kicker
Aubrey agreed to terms Monday on a four-year, $28 million contract extension with the Cowboys that includes $20 million guaranteed, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Aubrey's new deal with Dallas is record-setting, and as Adam Schefter of ESPN reports makes him the first kicker in NFL history to earn $7 million annually on average. Across 17 regular-season appearances in 2025, Aubrey converted 36 of his 42 field-goal attempts and was especially clutch from 50-plus yards, going 11-for-17. The Cowboys initially assigned Aubrey a second-round tender as a placeholder to work out a long-term deal.

2023
Aubrey outscored every other kicker by at least 27 fantasy points in 2023, when he was a 28-year-old rookie completing a career change from professional soccer. He took a minor step back in 2024 but was still among the best kickers in the NFL, finishing second in fantasy points and first in field-goal attempts while going 14-of-17 on kicks of 50-plus yards (and 14-of-16 in the 40-49 range). Aubrey had been perfect from long distance as a rookie, only missing two kicks in the 30-39 range and three PATs. He didn't miss any PATs in 2024, but he had 22 fewer attempts than in 2023 as the Cowboys declined from 12-5 to 7-10. Aubrey's incredible two-year run of success on long kicks should ensure he gets similar chances this season, keeping him relevant for fantasy even if the Cowboys struggle again and don't provide many chip shots and PATs.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Has offer from Cowboys
The Cowbys have made Aubrey an offer that would make him the highest-paid kicker in the league, Clarence Hill Jr. of AllDLLS.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Aubrey has been an accurate kicker, but he's become well-known for his ability to convert kicks from more than 60 yards. Despite being uncharacteristically erratic from long range in 2025 -- he made 10 of 17 attempts from more than 50 yards -- the Cowboys are seemingly willing to give Aubrey a long-term extension worth at least $6.5 million per year. Despite having a strong offer in hand, Hill reports that Aubrey is looking for an even more lucrative deal.
