FantasyAces Football: Week 11 Picks

FantasyAces Football: Week 11 Picks

This article is part of our FantasyAces Football series.

Daily fantasy football is back in full swing, and FantasyAces is ready to continue the momentum from a huge first half of the season. Not sure how to play at Fantasy Aces? We're here to help. Each week, RotoWire will offer advice on which cheap value players to target to give you that extra edge. These players are considered tournament plays unless otherwise noted, as all are listed as salary cap saving value plays.

QUARTERBACK

Jameis Winston, $5,500 vs. PHI

Another week on FantasyAces, another week in which Winston is a value play. For Week 11's slate, he faces the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles have allowed at least one touchdown pass in every game this season. The only quarterback to have single-digit fantasy points agains the Eagles was Eli Manning in Week 6. This is also a good matchup for Winston, because of his remarkable consistency. Winston has 15 or more fantasy points in every game this season, making him a prime target in cash games if you want to save at the position.

Case Keenum, $4,500 vs. BAL

You are seeing clearly, that is Keenum's name written as a play on FantasyAces. His price makes him a play at just $4,500, because he needs just 13.5 fantasy points to reach solid value. To reach that threshold, he needs 237 yards and a touchdown pass. In Week 11, Keenum faces the Ravens, who have allowed multiple touchdown passes in all but two games this season. The average game by an opposing quarterback against the Ravens this season is 288 yards and two touchdowns. With Keenum's price being so low, he's worth a play on FantasyAces.

RUNNING BACK

James Starks, $4,400 vs. MIN

With Eddie Lacy (groin) missing last Sunday's game, Starks took the No. 1 job by (relative) storm. He had 96 total yards including six catches for 12.6 fantasy points on Aces. This is his third double-digit output in fantasy points in the last four games, and he proved to be much more effective than Lacy. If Lacy plays in Week 11 it will likely be in a limited role, which increases Starks' value. The Packers face the Vikings, who have been very good against the run this season, so be sure to consider Starks for tournaments only.

Frank Gore, $4,500 vs. ATL

Gore continues to fly under the radar, and is underpriced considering his consistency. Since Week 3, Gore has had at least 9.2 fantasy points in each game and he has scored at least 10 fantasy points in each of the last five games. Gore also has value in the passing game; having caught 20 passes this season. The Colts have faced some tough run defenses of late, including the Broncos, Panthers, Patriots and Texans. Pair that with the Jets and Bills in the first few weeks of the season, and Gore's production has been more impressive. In Week 11 the Colts will battle the Atlanta Falcons, who have given up the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing running backs this season.

WIDE RECEIVER

Tavon Austin, $4,450 vs. BAL

With a new quarterback in Keenum, Austin's value could be much higher on FantasyAces. At just $4,450, he's a target,as any play could turn into a touchdown given his speed and playmaking ability. One of former starting quarterback Nick Foles' weaknesses was throwing down the field. This severely limited Austin's effectiveness in the passing game, but downfield passing is actually one of Keenum's strengths, as he showed in Houston. Austin gets a matchup against the Ravens, who have allowed the most fantasy points to opposing receivers this season. Baltimore has give up 16 touchdowns to receivers. With a new quarterback and elite playmaking ability, Austin is worth a shot in tournaments as a very low owned option.

Jordan Matthews, $4,500 vs. TB

The best thing for Matthews' fantasy value is Mark Sanchez. If Sam Bradford (shoulder) is unable to go, Matthews becomes a top value play on FantasyAces. Last season with Sanchez, Matthews caught 4.22 passes per game and averaged 66.56 yards and 0.67 touchdowns per game. Without Sanchez, he averaged 4.14 catches for 39 yards and 0.29 touchdowns per game. He's averaging close to 13 fantasy points per game with Sanchez at quarterback, which is good value at his price of $4,500. The Eagles face the Bucs in Week 11, who have given up a touchdown pass to opposing wide receivers in all but one game this season.

TIGHT END

Eric Ebron, $4,150 vs. OAK

Ebron is the lucky tight end who gets to face the Raiders in Week 11. Oakland has allowed a touchdown pass to tight ends in all but one game this season. They have allowed 10 touchdown receptions to tight ends, and players like Rhett Ellison have scored against them. Ebron has seen a bump in targets this season, notching five or more in all but one game (against Seattle) and makes for an intriguing option at just $4,150 on FantasyAces.

DEFENSE

Tampa Bay Buccaneers, $2,500 vs. PHI

It's not often that the lowest-priced defense is worth playing in DFS, but for Week 11 the Bucs make that possible. If Bradford is hurt and Sanchez starts for the Eagles, the Bucs' defense instantly becomes a viable value play at just $2,500. Sanchez threw a pick in the end zone in the Eagles' potential game-winning drive in Week 10, and he turned the ball over 14 times in nine games in 2014. Tampa Bay's defense has been better than expected in the last few weeks, notching at least seven fantasy points in four of the last five games.

Don't forget to keep an eye on the NFL inactive list. With the injury report changing all the time, a lot could happen before Sunday.
