Fanball's Week 10 Thursday-Monday NFL slate features 14 games, with the Ravens, Chiefs, Raiders and Eagles on bye. The Fanball format calls for a QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, FLEX WR/TE, FLEX RB/WR/TE, D/ST lineup with a $55,000 salary cap. The players below can fit into lineups regardless of strategy, as they all offer strong value relative to price.
QUARTERBACK
Russell Wilson, SEA at ARI ($7,000): Wilson has provided tremendous value both as a passer and a runner, throwing for at least 295 yards with multiple touchdowns in five of his last six games while leading the Seahawks in rushing yards with 271 halfway through the season. With Seattle's offensive line failing to open up holes and the team's trio of running backs struggling, Wilson will almost certainly be tasked with shouldering the offensive burden Thursday regardless of game flow. He's in contention to lead all quarterbacks in fantasy production this week against a Cardinals defense that allows the ninth-most passing yards per game (249.3).
Josh McCown, NYJ at TB ($6,000): McCown has quietly produced multiple touchdowns in five consecutive weeks, extending that streak in last Thursday's win over the Bills by picking up one through the air while scoring his third rushing touchdown of the season. The scrappy veteran quarterback has made the most out of an offense with a multitude of serviceable weapons, including a pair of excellent receiving backs, two legitimate NFL starters at wide receiver and a chain-moving size mismatch of a tight end. With an extra three days of preparation ahead of this matchup with Tampa Bay's 30th-ranked pass defense, McCown is primed to pay off at his price once again.
RUNNING BACK
Le'Veon Bell, PIT at IND ($9,200): Rested and ready for a full workload coming off a bye, Bell has a great opportunity to finish among this week's top scorers thanks to a favorable matchup with a Colts defense that allows a league-high 28.9 points per game. While Antonio Brown will catch many people's eyes against Indianapolis' 31st-ranked pass defense, the Colts have actually held top wide receivers in check. Bell has the receiving chops to exploit the Colts' vulnerability through the air, but should also find plenty of holes in a mediocre front that allows 113.9 yards per game on the ground. With his team likely to generate plenty of points and play from ahead, Bell's also a great bet for both high overall volume and goal-line opportunities.
Melvin Gordon, LAC at JAX ($8,000): Gordon's been tremendous despite playing through knee, foot and toe injuries, so just imagine how effective he'll be after resting his body during last week's bye. Jacksonville's top-ranked pass defense has rightly generated plenty of buzz, but it's been the same old Jaguars in terms of stopping the run with 124.9 rushing yards allowed per game. With eight touchdowns in eight appearances and four games with at least five receptions, Gordon also provides plenty of value besides his lofty rushing yardage.
Damien Williams, MIA at CAR ($4,600): While Kenyan Drake was the far more productive rusher in Miami's first game sans Jay Ajayi, Williams provided plenty of PPR intrigue with six catches out of the backfield. Carolina's run defense has been second stingiest with 78.4 yards allowed per game, so don't be surprised to see Drake start out ineffective and cede more work to Williams as a Dolphins team that's been outscored by 63 points this season falls behind on Monday Night Football and takes to the air. Williams' receiving ability fits perfectly with Fanball's PPR scoring format, so his bang for the buck should be excellent at just $4,600.
WIDE RECEIVER
Marvin Jones, DET vs. CLE ($5,900): Jones has morphed into an absolute monster the last three weeks, recording at least six receptions for 96 receiving yards each time en route to 341 yards and three touchdowns on 19 catches. His emergence as a go-to option for quarterback Matthew Stafford on red-zone fade routes makes Jones a great bet to find paydirt against a winless Browns team that allows 25.3 points per game, while Detroit's struggles in the running game should keep the team passing even if it gets up big as expected.
Robby Anderson, NYJ at TB ($5,500): Anderson has quietly turned the corner recently, scoring in three consecutive weeks. Signs of this breakout from the second-year receiver out of Temple have been visible since Week 3, as Anderson has amassed 433 yards and four touchdowns the last seven weeks. The clear-cut top target in New York's passing game should continue to find success against a Buccaneers pass defense that ranks 30th with 272.4 passing yards allowed per game.
Demaryius Thomas, DEN vs. NE ($7,700): Thomas excelled in Brock Osweiler's first start under center last week, hauling in eight balls for 70 yards and his first touchdown of the season while Emmanuel Sanders was held to just one catch. The hulking 6-foot-3, 229-pound wideout has a trio of seasons with double-digit touchdowns under his belt, so expect Thomas to start scoring at a much higher rate now that he has a quarterback who's willing and able to target him in the red zone. His yardage upside is also excellent in this Sunday Night Football home matchup with a Patriots secondary that's been burned for a league-high 295.5 passing yards per game.
TIGHT END
Kyle Rudolph, MIN at WAS ($5,000): Rudolph paid off for those who called his number in his last appearance, finding paydirt in Cleveland. He's primed for more road success in Washington after scoring a touchdown in each of his first three career meetings with the Redskins. Washington hasn't been any better at defending tight ends this season, allowing 80 yards per game and four touchdowns in eight weeks to the position.
Garrett Celek, SF vs. NYG ($3,000): With George Kittle (ankle) ruled out for this week, Celek will take over top tight-end duties against the Giants. New York gave up 51 points last week and has allowed a tight end to score a touchdown in every game this season, creating the ideal situation to plug in the affordable Celek while spending big at other positions.
DEFENSE
Chicago Bears vs. GB ($3,000): Don't be surprised if the combined passing yardage from both quarterbacks in this one ends up short of a typical single-game performance from injured Packers signal-caller Aaron Rodgers (shoulder). Unlike Green Bay, Chicago has learned to win with minimal production from the passing game thanks to a playmaking defense. In their last three games before a Week 9 bye, the Bears went 2-1 by holding opponents to 15.7 PPG while racking up 10 sacks, four interceptions, four fumble recoveries and a trio of defensive touchdowns. Another strong effort is likely at home against a Brett Hundley-led offense that's scored just 44 points in his three games played, including a last-second garbage time touchdown in last week's Monday Night Football defeat to the Lions.
Seattle Seahawks at ARI ($3,200): Arizona's best pass-catcher is 34 and the team's top running back is a 32-year-old coming off 37 carries, so both could have trouble getting their bodies 100 percent healthy on a short week. The rest of the Cardinals' offense doesn't strike much fear into opponents, as quarterback Drew Stanton has a career 16:21 touchdown-to-interception ratio. At worst, Seattle brings a high floor in a low-scoring game. If the Seahawks grab an early lead and Stanton's forced to air it out, this defense could top the charts this week.
