Cringe Society (4-3) vs. Ground Zero (5-2)

The opening match of the RLCS OCE playoffs feature the no. 1 vs. no. 4, as Cringe Society look to open the tournament with an upset. Ground Zero come in off the back of a strong 5-2 campaign, with their only defeats coming against Renegades and Team Esper. The series was incredibly tight against Cringe Society, ending with a 3-2 victory to Ground Zero. Cringe Society ended 4-3, with defeats to the top-two teams (Ground Zero Gaming and Mindfreak) alongside a freak upset loss to Overt. While Cringe Society come in as a heavy underdog, they could have great value, with Torsos and Drippay bringing star power to any lineup. Ground Zero, on the other hand, have some superstars in Decka and Julz.

CS Players to Target: Torsos ($14,400 Captain, $9,600 Flex), Drippay ($14,100 Captain, $9,400 Flex)

GZ Players to Target: Decka ($15,900 Captain, $10,600 Flex), Julz ($15,300 Captain, $10,200 Flex)

FURY (5-2) vs. Mindfreak (5-2)

FURY and Mindfreak both come in with 5-2 records, and both only lost to other playoff teams. In what, on paper, could be the more tightly contested match of the day, both teams will like their odds to make Round 2. FURY and Mindfreak both come in with 5-2 records, and both only lost to other playoff teams. In what, on paper, could be the more tightly contested match of the day, both teams will like their odds to make Round 2. That said, Mindfreak took this matchup 3-0 in the regular season and will look to do the same in the playoffs. This match will come down to the individuals on both sides, with FURY fielding Amphis, who many consider to be the MVP, even if FURY fail to win. Mindfreak will hope Fever can provide the skill they need to take the series. In this two-game slate, value is hard to come by, and the player pool is relatively small, so picks from this series could be the decider. If Mindfreak can repeat the 3-0 then they offer excellent value; if not, Amphis could prove stellar.

FURY Players to Target: Amphis ($16,500 Captain, $11,000 Flex)

MF Players to Target: Fever ($14,400 Captain, $9,600 Flex), Ghost ($11,100 Captain, $7,400 Flex)
