DraftKings LoL: Wednesday LPL/LCK Cheatsheet

This article is part of our DraftKings League of Legends series.

GAMES (EDT)

  • 4:00 a.m: T1 (T1) vs. DragonX (DRX)
  • 5:00 a.m: Team WE (WE) vs. eStar (ES)

T1 vs. DRX

DRX fought their way here by taking down Damwon in five games Monday. DRX started that series by taking the first two games but allowed Damwon to nearly reverse sweep them as they neglected a few power picks in drafts and Damwon forced a series-deciding Game 5. They'll be punished for this if they let that happen with T1, who are always one of the most well prepared teams in the LCK and have better quality than Damwon. T1 took both regular split matchups, including a sweep in their last meeting. On paper, DragonX have the players to win, so they are certainly a live dog, but T1 will be prepared and the x-factor in this matchup could be top laner Canna, who has been playing more carry oriented champions of late. For T1, Teddy is the main carry of the team with over 31.0 percent of the team's damage share, with Faker coming in second at 26.6 percent. Cuzz is more supportive from the jungle along side Effort, while Canna seems comfortable on tanks or carries of late. For DragonX to win, they'll need rookie jungler, Pyosik, to step up and play well against Cuzz, while Chovy and Deft are two great players capable of getting DragonX into the final with an upset. Keria has also been arguably the best support in the LCK this split.

Predicition: T1 3-1

Predicition: T1 3-1

T1 Players to Target: Canna ($6,200), Faker ($7,400), Teddy ($7,600), T1 Team ($5,000)

DRX Players to Target: Chovy ($6,800), Deft ($7,000), Keria ($4,800), DRX Team ($4,600)

WE vs. ES

This should be the bloodier of two series, as both teams love to fight, especially compared to their LCK counterparts. WE qualified for the playoffs by beating OMG on Monday, while eStar enter the playoffs as the fifth seed. eStar swept their only regular split meeting, piling up 50 kills in two games. While WE have a chance to pull this off, I think eStar will prevail because they are one of the superior team-fighting teams in the LPL and have only really struggled against teams with great objective control, which WE is only really average at doing. WE's biggest issue is Teacherma's champion pool, though if he's allowed to play comfort picks he can shine. I think WEI can help get Cryin ahead in the mid lane, allowing them to roam the map and make plays on the bottom side. For eStar, Cryin and Wink are the carries with right around 30 percent of the team's damage share each, while everyone on the team except Xiaobai has over 70 percent kill participation. WE will need star jungler Beishang to get his laner's ahead, with Jiumeng being the main damage threat on the team and Teacherma being willing to sacrifice his own lane to get his bottom lane ahead. Like eStar, everyone on WE has over 70 percent kill participation except for Morgan in the top lane. This should be a fun series with two explosive teams.

Prediction: ES 3-0

WE Players to Target: Morgan ($6,000), Beishang ($6,600), Jiumeng ($7,400), Missing ($5,000), WE Team ($4,400)

ES Players to Target: WEI ($7,200), Cryin ($7,800), Wink ($8,000), ShiauC ($5,800), ES Team ($5,200)
