GAMES (EDT)
- 4:00 a.m: Team Liquid vs. SuperMassive
- 4:50 a.m: Legacy ESports vs. MAD Lions
TL vs. SUP
This game is going to be a fun one, as both teams looked really good on Day 1. I had some doubts on how TL were going to play, but everyone is playing to their potential and even Tactical is showing solid carry performances. Impact is the main guy for Liquid because he is great at mitigating any early advantage top side to let his team get ahead while playing weakside. SuperMassive are also showing some impressive wins with Kakao being that early pressure jungler that was touted coming into Worlds. The one thing about SuperMassive is their drafts are really good even though they aren't in the meta. They are great at picking team fights, showing great signs around dragon control as well as playing to their win condition. This game is going to come down to draft and how both junglers perform. Broxah has shown the ability to play that carry champion, and with Liquid's map vision I believe they can track Kakao's pathing and stop him from getting his lanes ahead. This is a close one but Liquid should pull it out.
Prediction: TL Win

LGC vs. MAD
Everyone is exaggerating about how MAD have been playing because their drafts and team comps have been their downfall in all three games. Even though they played the two best teams in their group, they have kept the early game close but failed to execute their champions in the mid-to-late game. Shad0w has been unimpressive this entire tournament, and with a group full of good junglers, this is a spot where he needs to be put on a carry champion and focus on solid pathing to get his bottom lane ahead. Legacy, on the other hand, try to play heavy macro through their mid-jungle duo. Tally was impressive in their two games, but I think he is going to have a hard time laning against Humanoid because he has been up 15-20cs after 15 minutes, and that is against Bolulu as well as Jensen. MAD win condition here is drafting an assassin for Humanoid to take over the game to keep the pressure of Shad0w so he can roam and try to set up plays for his other laners.
