DraftKings LoL: Sunday Cheat Sheet
The first thing I noticed today is that there is not a lot of value on DraftKings. There are four clear favorites priced up and four clear underdogs priced very cheaply. Those favorites are Team SoloMid, Cloud9, Counter Logic Gaming, and Team Liquid. Today is a tough day, as I'm really not sure where to go for value. I think the value picks have to come from NRG. With C9 slumping, NRG are the only team I can see winning as an underdog today.
Top Lane: Hauntzer (TSM vs. APX, $7,700)
By utilizing NRG's value you can split your lineup between the high priced TSM players and low priced NRG players. Hauntzer is enjoying a great split and is showing proficiency on both tanks and carries. TSM have been great for fantasy purposes all year long and I don't see them losing their first series today against Apex.
Jungle: Santorin (NRG vs. C9, $4,800)
Santorin is having a pretty solid return to the LCS this split. He's not as talked about as the big name junglers, and while his stats don't match up with the big dogs, his KDA has been pretty respectable. He's more assist-focused than carry-focused, but he doesn't find himself giving away free kills most of the time either. While the ceiling isn't huge here, I don't think he'll hurt you at this cheap price.
Middle Lane: Bjergsen (TSM vs. APX, $8,400)
After a bit of a disappointment last split, Bjergsen has come back with avengence in the Summer of 2016. He's back to mostly playing carry mid laners and that only means good things for fantasy owners who employ him. While Keane has given Bjergsen fits in the past, I wouldn't be too worried about using TSM's star mid laner today. I'm also using the cheap GBM in one of my flex roles.
ADC: Doublelift (TSM vs. APX, $8,400)
Likewise, I think Doublelift enjoys an excellent series today. TSM are firing on all cylinders right now and Doublelift is leading both LCS regions in kills from the AD Carry role. With Biofrost by his side we've seen a return to the aggressive Doublelift we all remember from his CLG days, and that only means good things for fantasy owners.
Support: KiWiKiD (NRG vs. C9, $4,100)
This is where this lineup gets kind of risky. While I don't mind using a cheap GBM and Santorin largely because they have a propensity to stay alive, KiWiKiD could die too many times to even pay off this low salary. There is really no other cheap support whose team I think can win a series today, but if you want to take a shot on someone else feel free. I'm using Biofrost in a flex role and if I could find someone else to use over KiWiKiD I'd be happy to use them over the NRG support. I just don't see a pick I like in the $4,100-$4,900 price range.
Team: NRG vs. C9 ($3,400)
Unless you're paying up for a team I don't see another cheap option that I think can win their series. You would think C9 should beat NRG, but C9 is struggling at the moment. I think this series goes to three games even if C9 do win and NRG should payoff this miniscule salary. You're playing with fire a bit, but just hope that the TSM picks go off against Apex, and that NRG doesn't hurt you.
