DraftKings LoL: Friday Cheat Sheet
Once again Cloud9 are the biggest favorites on the board in a matchup against a struggling Team Liquid. C9 are the best plays, but are quite expensive. The Immortals/Dignitas match has the potential to be one huge clown fiesta, which actually makes it quite appealing for fantasy purposes. Both teams are really struggling and lacking clean play, so there could be plenty of kills to go around.
Top Lane: Ssumday (DIG vs. IMT $6,500)
Dignitas' games have been the Ssumday show -- he either carries when they lose, or sometimes even lose when he goes off. While Ssumday is third among top laners in kills, Dignitas' struggles as a team show in his low kill participation (59%) and assist total (59). Flame may actually be a better value considering he is $500 cheaper, but as the conductor of the Ssumday hype train, I'd rather have the DIG top laner.
Jungle: Contractz (C9 vs. TL, $7,200)/Dardoch (IMT vs. DIG, $5,800)
Junglers have had massive impacts on the Rift so far this year and Contractz and Dardoch are both in the top ten in kills amongst all players in the LCS. Contractz is reasonably cheap for his upside in an easy series, while Dardoch is basically the main carry threat for Immortals and should help lead them to at least one win if not two on Friday.
Middle Lane: Jensen (C9 vs. TL, $8,200)/Keane (DIG vs. IMT, $7,200)
Jensen trails only Hai in kills from the mid lane while also being third in assists and kill participation. In an easy series he's an excellent bet to have a big day. Keane has had his fair share of struggles this season, but somehow Pobelter has been even worse. DIG rely on their Korean trio to try to win games and Keane trumps Pobelter for me on Friday, but only slightly.
ADC: CodySun (IMT vs. DIG, $6,800)
CodySun is not really a great player, but this series should be pretty ugly which hopefully means there will be plenty of kills to go around. Using the cheaper of the AD Carries in this game makes sense as it allows us to have a little bit more money to use elsewhere. Along the same lines, Piglet could also make some sense. Despite residing in last place among marksmen in kills, he's fourth in assists, however in a terrible matchup Friday I don't think he'll have much of an opportunity to pick up points. If you want to pay up at ADC Sneaky is the most expensive play, but I'd rather pay up for Jensen.
Support: Matt (TL vs. C9, $3,800)
This is basically a straight up punt for salary relief. I don't expect much out of Team Liquid against C9, but Matt does have the third best kill participation among supports in the league. His assist total ranks near the bottom, but he should be involved in some of Team Liquid's kills while his low salary lets us pay up elsewhere.
Team: IMT vs. DIG ($4,400)
Really not sure who wins this series and it could be a pretty bloody one as both teams have struggled mightily this season. Immortals are the cheaper option and are the better play as I think both teams will score fairly similar point totals.
