DraftKings LoL: Thursday Cheat Sheet
Week Two of the LCS is upon us. Most of today's matchups seem pretty clear on paper with favorites, G2, Fnatic, Vitality, and H2K. The day also features an interesting tilt between Schalke 04 and Splyce. Splyce are my favorite underdog of the day, I'm not sure they can win the series, but I think they can possible split with S04. It's hard to find value today so you'll need to take a shot somewhere. H2K are in the best matchup of the day, but after splitting their first two series of the season how confident are you that they'll dominate GIANTS! It seems like a guarantee on paper, but that's why they play the games.
Top Lane: Cabochard (VIT vs. OG, $6,800)
Orgien are in pretty rough shape, even more so now with FORG1VEN leaving and xPeke being forced to play AD Carry. Vitality are priced in the middle of the pack, but I expect them to 2-0 Origen on Thursday. Look for Cabochard to be extremely involved. I also like Gamsu and Kikis if not paying all the way up for Odoamne.
Jungle: Jankos (H2K vs. GIA, $7,300)
Despite questioning if H2K will sweep GIANTS!, I'm pretty confident in Jankos. Jankos has been good to start the season and continues to live up to his nickname as "The First Blood King". His aggressive style is conducive to fantasy and he should pick up a ton of points today. I also like Spirit if looking to save some money.
Middle Lane: Febiven (FNC vs. UoL, $7,700)
$7,700 is too cheap for Febiven today when I expect Fnatic to 2-0 UoL. There's not much to fear here as Febiven is a far superior player than Exileh and he should be among the highest scoring mid laners on the day. I also like Perkz and Fox at the top and a punt on Sencux or Betsy in a flex role to save money.
ADC: Rekkles (FNC vs. UoL, $7,700)
Rekkles looked better with Yellowstar back in the fold last week. He was criticized last year for having weaker performances stemming from his new role as the main shot caller for Fnatic. With Yellowstar back, Rekkles can focus on playing and he showed he can be a carry last week. I also like Zven and a punt on to Kobbe to save money, but I would avoid Freeze at the most expensive salary of the day.
Support: Mikyx (SPY vs. S04, $4,300)
With not a ton of value on the board support is a role I'm looking to save at today. I'm not sure Splyce can win this series, but they have the potential to at least split. Schalke looked solid last week, but I think it's jumping too far ahead to assume this team is dominant. Splyce also played well and I could see an upset with Mikyx having the potential to get to the 10+ assist total we covet.
Team: Splyce vs. S04 ($3,500)
Again we need to save some money in this role. I'm not sold on Splyce or Schalke, which could make this series close and if Splyce win one game we're looking at a decent return on value here.
