DraftKings LoL LCS: Friday Cheat Sheet
It looks like a pretty good set of games today with a lot of close matchups to choose from. Being on the right side of these games will be important even though they're hard to judge. That said there is some good value today you can capitalize on if you end up on the right side of these games. There's also one high priced team today that I think you should mostly avoid.
Players who are out this week:
Edward (ROC) replaced by Extinkt
Diamondprox (UoL) replaced by Rudy
Ryu (H2k) replaced by SELFIE
Noxiak (FNC) replaced by Klajbajk
Daily Player Recommendations:
Top Lane:
Cabochard (VIT vs. OG, $6,000): The potential to carry games is always there for Cabochard. At this low salary he presents pretty good upside if he can carry the game for Vitality. Origen has played better recently, but there's no reason to think they'll dominate this game. Plus, if Cabochard lanes against sOAZ, he should have an easier time during the early game.
Other Suggestions: Odoamne (H2k vs. G2, $6,400), Gamsu (FNC vs. UoL, $6,300)
Top Lane Player to Avoid:
Wunderwear (SPY vs. GIA, $6,900): He has had basically zero effect for Splyce this season. Couple that with the fact he is the highest priced top laner Friday on DraftKings and it's an easy fade for me. I know they're playing GIANTS! but I still don't see enough upside at this salary.
Jungle:
Trick (G2 vs. H2k, $5,900): It's tough not to use Trick when he's under $6,000. This should be a really good game, both for fantasy purposes as well as entertainment, but Trick's upside makes him particularly appealing when you consider seven other junglers are priced higher than him Friday. His aggressive style bodes well for fantasy and if G2 wins, he'll easily outproduce his salary.
Other Suggestions: Spirit (FNC vs. UoL, $6,000), Jankos (H2k vs. G2, $6,100)
Jungle Player to Avoid:
Trashy (SPY vs. GIA, $6,600): Much like his top laner, I can't recommend using Trashy when he's the highest priced jungler. Sure GIANTS! have been awful, but it's not out of the realm of possibilities to think they could win this game.
Middle Lane:
Sencux (SPY vs. GIA, $7,700): Sencux is the only member of Splyce I'd take a shot on today. He's listed as the highest priced mid laner, but he's the only member of Spylce that could be worth such a high ranking. Remember that Leblanc game a couple weeks ago? It's definitely possible we could see a repeat carry performance from Sencux today.
Other Suggestions: Febiven (FNC vs. UoL, $7,100), Betsy (ROC vs. EL, $7,000)
Mid Laner to Avoid:
PowerOfEvil (OG vs. VIT, $7,300): He's been playing better for Origen, but I think he won't be worth this price today. It should be a close game, but the fantasy potential for PowerOfEvil isn't high enough for me to consider using today.
ADC:
FORG1VEN (H2k vs. G2, $7,200): I've been fading him in games H2k should win because it seems like the easier the matchup, the more objective focused FORG1VEN is and the less fantasy points he receives. In close games so far this year though he's stepped up and carried and I expect this to be a close game, meaning FORG1VEN may have to perform up to his lofty standards in order for H2k to score a win.
Other Suggestions: MrRalleZ (EL vs. ROC, $7,200), Zven (OG vs. VIT, $7,400)
ADC Player to Avoid:
Kobbe (SPY vs. GIA, $7,700): Like I've mentioned for other members, Kobbe really hasn't done much this season for Splyce and when he's the most expensive ADC on the day I think it's an easy fade.
Support:
Hylissang (UoL vs. FNC, $5,000): Hylissang provides a good, cheap option to use today. He's played well all split and has the potential to pick up 10+ assists today against Fnatic in a close game.
Other Suggestions: sprattel (EL vs. ROC, $5,200), Hybrid (G2 vs. H2k, $5,000)
Support Player to Avoid:
Nisbeth (SPY vs. GIA, $5,800): I've said it plenty of times throughout this article, and I'll say it again: Splyce at high salaries equals a no-go for me today, excluding Sencux.
Team:
UoL vs. Fnatic ($4,600): I like using UoL when they're cheap; sometimes it pays off, sometimes it doesn't. This should be another close game for UoL and they've put up some solid, yet not great, scores even in losses. The potential is there for them to win against Fnatic which would make them a great bargain at this price.
