DraftKings LoL: All-Star Event Day 3
Day 3 of the 2016 All-Star Event brings us the NALCS vs. the LPL, the LCK vs. EULCS, and the LMS vs. the IWC. With our favorite underdog, the LMS, being the heavy favorites against the IWC Saturday, it makes things a little trickier. My favorite underdog today is going to be the LPL, with the EULCS and IWC taking part in games I think they have no chance of winning.
Top Lane: Impact (NALCS vs. LPL, $6,400)/Ziv (LMS vs. IWC, $7,100) (
The LPL's lineup is weakest in the top lane and I'm going to look for Impact to exploit that for the NALCS. He's impressed against the EULCS on Day 1 and was the only member to have a positive KDA in the beating the NALCS took from the LMS yesterday. Ziv scored 30 points against the NALCS on Day 2 and wasn't really that involved with the play overall. Against a weak region I think he has a chance to provide a much bigger impact on Day 3.
Jungle: Clearlove (LPL vs. NALCS, $5,900)/Karsa (LMS vs. IWC, $6,800)
Using a cheap Clearlove worked out decently Friday as he was able to put up 25.44 points in a losing effort. I think the LPL vs. NALCS game should be a toss up and if he can put up a respectable point total once again, he's worth using. Karsa is my exposure to the LMS region against the IWC. After scoring near 50 points on Day 2, he should be in line for another excellent performance against a weak region.
Middle Lane: Bjergsen (NALCS vs. LPL, $7,200)
It's time for Bjergsen to step up and carry a game on Day 3. He gets a pretty good matchup against We1less and like Impact he will need to exploit this weaker link of the LPL team if the NALCS want to win. I think there are points to be had on both sides of this matchup.
ADC: Uzi (LPL vs. NALCS, $7,100)
Uzi is cheap for his upside and has shown he can play well in tough matchups, scoring over 30 points in a loss to the LCK on Day 2. He's been primarily assist focused so far at the All-Star Event, but will need to try to carry for the LPL if they want to beat North America.
Support: Mata (LPL vs. NALCS, $5,000)
Mata is my favorite cheap support on the board and pairing him with Uzi could be a sound strategy. Mata reached 10 assists on Day 1 and was one short against the LCK on Day 2. I like his chances to get to double digit assists on Day 3 and hey, he beat Faker in the 1-vs-1 tournament!
Team: LPL vs. NALCS ($4,500)
I've mentioned a few times that I think there will be points to be had for both teams in this game. Using a cheap team is always my strategy so we'll roll with the LPL today. I think they'll be able to grab objectives in a win or a loss and should help you round out your roster for Day 3.
