Swalled up versus Iowa
Rogers was 22-for-34 passing for 195 yards, one touchdown and one interception during Saturday's 40-16 defeat to Iowa. He also had five rushes for -15 yards.
ANALYSIS
Rogers started strong with a five-yard touchdown pass to his go-to wide receiver Denzel Boston that tied the game early in the second quarter. But, the fifth-year signal-caller then opened the second half with an interception in Iowa territory. He was in the game for just two more offensive series before backup Demond Williams took over under after Iowa went up 37-10 early in the fourth quarter. Rogers has been a very consistent passer this season and had not thrown an interception until last week's win versus Michigan. Therefore, there's no reason to think that he won't be the starter moving forward while Williams continues to work in as a change-of-pace rushing threat at quarterback. Washington will have a bye week to regroup before heading back on the road to face Indiana on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2022
2021
This marks Rogers’ third season at the helm of Mike Leach’s offense. He has already mastered it, having completed 74 percent of his passes for 4,739 yards and 36 touchdowns in 2021 on an FBS-high 52.5 attempts per game. Leach quarterbacks are always a steady commodity in fantasy; you know there will be volume, efficiency and touchdowns. There will not be much in the way of rushing production, but that matters less when Rogers is leading the nation in passing volume. It will be tough to improve much on his 2021, but a repeat performance will make his investors happy.
