Payne re-entered the transfer portal Feb. 25 and is expected to leave Nebraska, Rivals.com reports.

ANALYSIS
Payne initially entered the portal Dec. 6, only to withdraw his name soon thereafter. Upon further consideration on the matter, the 6-foot-3, 260-pound edge rusher now looks poised to move on from the Cornhuskers for good. After arriving in Lincoln in 2020 as a JuCo signee, Payne recorded 40 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and three sacks during his two seasons with the program.
