Monaray Baldwin

Baldwin projects to be the top receiver for what is anticipated to be an improved Baylor offense. Quarterback Blake Shapen leads the way for seven returning offensive starters and the Bears are stacked in the backfield with Freshman All-American Richard Reese, Oklahoma State transfer Dominic Richardson and the versatile Qualan Jones. That means that Baldwin should have the opportunity to rack up more 100-yard receiving games, something he did on two different occasions in 2022 (174 vs. Oklahoma State and 123 vs. TCU). On the surface, Baldwin’s 33 grabs on 53 targets for 565 yards and four touchdowns is okay, but it’s really his 10.7 yards per target (YPT) which is tantalizing. Of Big 12 receivers with at least 20 targets, Baldwin ranked sixth in the conference in YPT which suggests he could be a candidate for a breakout year.
