Confirms season-ending injury
Travis announced Monday via social media that he will miss the rest of the season after sustaining a significant left lower leg injury in Saturday's 58-13 win over FCS North Alabama.
ANALYSIS
A sixth-year senior, Travis also confirmed that the injury marks the end of his prolific collegiate career. While leading the Seminoles to an 11-0 record so far this season, Travis had cemented himself as a Heisman Trophy candidate along the way, as he completed 63.9 percent of his throws for 2,755 yards, 20 touchdowns and two interceptions while adding 176 yards and seven scores on the ground. Travis' season-ending injury also complicates the unbeaten Seminoles' road to the College Football Playoff, though a win in Saturday's regular-season finale at Florida plus a victory over Louisville in the ACC Championship Game on Dec. 2 would go a long way toward Florida State earning its spot. The Seminoles will turn to Tate Rodemaker to take over as their starting quarterback moving forward.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
After finishing the 2021 season on a high note, Travis came into 2022 with high expectations to continue the trend. Travis met those lofty expectations throwing for over 3,000 yards with 24 touchdowns to just five interceptions. Following an impressive 2022 campaign Travis is now a pre-season Heisman front-runner and the Seminoles are top-10 in National Championship odds. With a talented backfield led by Trey Benson who had a monster finish to the 2022 season, an explosive receiving corps that brings back last year’s leading receiver Johnny Wilson and adds a massive talent from Michigan State in Keon Coleman, Travis is poised for another big season.
