Comes off bench in relief
Tuttle completed 10 of 18 passes for 98 yards, one touchdown and one interception during Saturday's 27-17 loss against Washington. He also had five rushes for 14 yards.
ANALYSIS
Tuttle was chosen to replace fellow quarterback Alex Orji following a rough performance by the Michigan starter in the Wolverines' loss to Washington on Saturday. The senior quarterback led the Michigan offense to a number of productive drives in relief of Orji, including the drive that culminated with an eight-yard touchdown pass to tight end Colston Loveland in the third quarter. Though Tuttle's late interception in a one-score game gave the Huskies the opportunity to score and put the game out of reach in the fourth quarter, his ability to properly lead the offense indicates that he will likely get more opportunities to show his value moving forward. Tuttle's next opportunity will come when the Wolverines travel to face Illinois following Saturday's bye.
