2024 Receiving Projections
2024 Fantasy Outlook
Bond transferred from Alabama to Texas and should immediately impact the Longhorns' passing game. Bond led the Tide in receptions and was second in receiving yardage, finishing with 48 grabs for 668 yards and four touchdowns. Texas lost its top five pass catchers from a season ago, leaving a massive void and a staggering 3,000-plus yards of offense through the air to fill. Bond should be the primary beneficiary of targets, along with Houston transfer Matthew Golden and sophomore Johntay Cook. Quinn Ewers returns under center for the Longhorns, so quarterback should not be an issue and is perhaps even an upgrade in terms of passing compared to his quarterback at Alabama last year, Jalen Milroe. Expect Bond to be a huge component of the Texas passing game in 2024. Read Past Outlooks
Unlikely to play versus Clemson
Bond (ankle) is unlikely to suit up for Saturday's CFP First Round game versus Clemson, Pete Thamel of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Bond re-aggravated his high ankle sprain during the SEC Championship and that injury will likely keep him out of first round of the playoffs. He has been limited during practice, spending most of his time on rehab work. Bond has caught 33 passes (on 53 targets) for 532 yards and five touchdowns this season, so his absence would be felt if he does not play.
