Heads to locker room Saturday
Schager went to the locker room following a hit in Saturday's game against Utah State, Jason Turner of The Herald Journal reports.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear if Schager suffered a serious injury, but he was affected enough by the hit to be taken to the locker room straight away. This means true freshman Micah Alejado will play under center for the Rainbow Warriors if Schager doesn't return. Per Paul Brecht of Hawai'i Sports Radio, Schager is dealing with a knee injury.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
Schager is the only quarterback returning to the Rainbow Warriors that has experience playing for the team that is a contender to start. As a backup to Chevan Cordeiro last season, Schager appeared in five games and recorded 615 yards, had 65 completions, two touchdowns and five interceptions. Although he has more experience than transfer quarterbacks Cammon Cooper and Joey Yellen, Schager is not guaranteed a starting quarterback position for Hawaii this upcoming season. He would certainly have to work on his passing accuracy, as five interceptions is a lot in five games, but he has also thrown 16 straight passes in the past and gone 25-of-29 in a game so it is clear that he has a lot of potential.
