Emanuel, who was a late scratch ahead of last week's 27-25 loss against Ohio, is expected to be active at practice later this week. The 6-foot-3 redshirt sophomore is slated to be the Chippewas' primary backup option behind Tyler Jefferson following the news of Joe Labas' season-ending injury. Emanuel has seen the field eight times across Central Michigan's last two seasons, throwing for 293 yards (20-of-39), four touchdowns and three interceptions, adding on 63 carries for 285 yards and four touchdowns.
