Keene has been named as one of the competitors for the Arizona State starting quarterback position, per Michell Gardner of AZCentral.com.

Keene will compete along with Cutter Boley for the starting job in the desert for the 2026 season. The 5-foot-11 senior served as the primary backup for star freshman Bryce Underwood at Michigan this past season following two seasons as a starter with Fresno State. 2026 will serve as Keene's final year of eligibility.
