Barkate has committed to Miami, according to On3.com.

Barkate has followed star quarterback Darian Mensah to Miami. The wideout had an impressive season with the Blue Devils in 2025, catching 72 passes for 1,106 yards and seven touchdowns across 14 games. He'll expect to replicate the connection he had with Mensah but in a different ACC program.
