2026 Tournament PreviewJohn Calipari is 2-for-2 in NCAA Tournament berths in his second year with Arkansas, looking to get to the second weekend again after doing so as a 10-seed in 2025. This year's squad is highlighted by budding superstar and SEC Player of the Year Darius Acuff (22.2 ppg, 6.4 apg), who is a sure-fire NBA lottery pick. He plays well beyond his years, as he took over the majority of point guard minutes early for a team that commits the second-fewest turnovers per game among tournament teams, and sports the lowest offensive turnover rate in the country. Acuff did miss the regular season finale with an ankle injury, but it appears to just be maintenance-related. Fellow freshman Meleek Thomas (15.4 ppg) can take over games as well for the sixth-best offense in the country (per KenPom). Down low, three seniors rotate in the two frontcourt spots, led by Trevon Brazile (13.1 ppg, 7.1 rpg). Arkansas didn't lose back-to-back games all season, and played top seeds Duke and Houston to within single digits, showing that the Razorbacks have both the firepower and consistency to make a run.
