Uzan drained a career-best six triples but it was his layup with less than a second remaining that allowed the Cougars to sneak their way past the Boilermakers and earn a trip to the Elite Eight. Uzan inbounded the ball, then adeptly established himself with both feet inbounds as Joseph Tugler fed the ball right back to him in front of a wide-open rim. Uzan also added a team-high six assists, playing a pivotal on offense to help account for an off night from L.J. Cryer. The junior point guard will now lead Houston into a heavyweight showdown with Tennessee on Sunday with a berth in the Final Four on the line.
