Smith, as he's been all season, was extremely efficient from the field and dynamic as a passer. Still, that wasn't enough to top the Illini as a historic 46-point performance from freshman Keaton Wagler powered them to victory. Smith couldn't be asked to do much more, and Purdue won't always have the misfortune of being on the wrong end of a historic offensive performance. His scoring has been down a touch this year, but Saturday was a reminder that the point guard can still pile on the points.
