Vereen committed Sunday to join Pacific as a graduate transfer for the 2019-20 season, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Vereen spent the first four seasons of his career at VMI, but missed his entire senior campaign while recovering from offseason wrist surgery. As a junior in 2017-18, Vereen played a prominent role for the Keydets, starting in 17 of 30 games and averaging 10.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.0 triples in 27.1 minutes per contest while shooting 34.3 percent from distance. Since he didn't play at all last season, he was able to use a redshirt and will now be eligible right away at his next stop. Assuming he's back to full strength by this fall, expect him to contend for a rotation spot on the wing with Pacific.
